CNC Machining at its finest

Sparton Technology CNC Machining Division

First Class, High End Precision - CNC Machining Core Capabilities

Sparton is a family owned and operated AS9100 and ISO9001 certified Contract Manufacturer. We are committed to superior quality and customer service and serve as a high end producer of components and assemblies for all of your machining needs. Our machining expertise provides services to various commercial industries as well as the defense and aerospace sectors. We have been excelling in the custom manufacturing business since 1972 and continue to evolve our machining expertise and services since our modest beginnings.

Industries Served

We believe in industry diversification and provide manufacturing services to a wide variety of industries including the following :

  • Aerospace
  • Defense
  • Medical
  • Water Filtration and Purification
  • Semi-conductor
  • Communication
  • Detection and Sensing
  • Under Sea Exploration
  • Vacuum
  • Sport and Recreation

We also take on and initiate a variety of other R&D projects which allows us to further diversify our skills, services and sales.

Highly Skilled and Experienced CNC Machinists

Our machinists are some of the best in the area. We use aggressive feed rates with state-of-the-art, modern cutting tools to achieve efficiency and produce precise parts with attractive finishes. Our highly skilled machinists can push our machines to the limits. If it is on your design, our machinists comply to it and know how to measure it. Bring your business to Sparton where we ensure quality is built into the entire process.

5-Axis Milling

These 7 CNC machines are our most advanced CNC Milling machines are capable of machining modern 3D features and complex shapes designed into your products in a very efficient manner. We are able to rotate the table to machine many sides of your part in just one setup, for faster lead times and increased productivity.

Vertical Milling

11 milling machines available to produce both short run applications and production runs. Many of these are equipped with two pallets for higher productivity that eliminates operator load time. Most of these machines typically produce parts smaller than 24” X 24”, but are equipped to handle up to 25” x 60”.

Horizontal Milling

5 CNC Horizontal Milling machines - the best choice for complex projects that require work on multiple sides and/or in many planes. These machines are equipped with up to 11 pallets per machine and are capable of lights out manufacturing by tooling fixtures to hold many parts per pallet and automatically switching pallets and/or jobs without an operator present. These machines also prove ideal for Kanban orders.

Lathe & Turning Centers

7 CNC Lathes that that are capable of bar feeding up to 2-3/4” thick stock, or up to 12.72” diameter when hand loaded. These machines are equipped with up to 7 axis cutting, allowing milling operations to be performed on the lathe instead of being done in two different machines.

Automation and Robotics

We have heavily invested in automation over the years to become more efficient to keep production costs lower. Our most recent addition is a Robotic cell attached to a new 5 axis Robo-Drill that enables us to achieve unattended running which can help reduce costs, but also increases workflow 24/7 without needing to add additional hard to find machinists. Other major investments have been our shift to 5 axis CNC machines to reduce set up time and increase productivity and purchasing machines with multiple pallets to reduce down time associated with loading and unloading parts.

CNC Machining Equipment

Sparton's machining division is equipped with the latest machine tools offering fast cut rates and fast tool changes. We buy high end machines from Matsuura, Mori-seiki, and Nakamura because we expect our parts to stand out aesthetically from our competition's parts. To put out a consistently beautiful and precisely machined product year after year, the machines used must be rigid and durable. Below are just a few of the high tech, high end CNC machines we use to create your superior machined projects.
